The Sanqing Mountain National Park displays a unique array of forested, tour phượng hoàng cổ trấn fantastically shaped granite pillars and various peaks all concentrated in a relatively small area.

Brief introduction

Located at the juncture of Yushan and Dexing counties of Shangrao City in Jiangxi Province, the scenic area covers some 756 square kilometers.

The mountain gets its name from the fact that it has three peaks, named Yujing, Yuhua and Yuxu, which seem to have the three ancestral deities of Taoism called Yuqing, Shangqing and Taiqing sitting upon them. Of the three, the Yujing Peak, with an altitude of 1,819 meters, is the highest and is situated in the middle of the mountain. The watching sunrise here is one of the wonders of the Sanqing Mountain.

The mountain is narrow and long and extends from south to north.

It displays a granite forest with the largest density in distribution and most varieties in the world. The scenic area is home of 2,373 kinds of high-grade plants and 1,728 species of wild animals, kynghidongduong.vn and constitutes a leading environment East Asia in terms of biodiversity.
The continuous changes of landform have resulted in unique imposing peaks, queerly-shaped rocks, saults and quiet valleys. Regarding its natural terrain, the Sanqing Mountain is steep in the east, wonderful in the west, elegant in the north and marvelous in the south.

There are nine major scenic areas, including the Nanqing Garden, the Wanshou Garden, the Yujing Peak, the Sanqing Palace and the Xihua Platform, and 10 major wonders, such as the "python-like rock", the "girl-like peak" and the "divine dragon amusing a pine".

The mountain has provided a place for the Taoists of all previous dynasties to cultivate their beliefs and as a result is known as "an outdoor Taoist museum".
The ancient architectural complex of Sanqing Palace, arranged according to the Eight Diagrams, boasts a history of over 1,600 years and comprises at least 230 ancient buildings and cultural sites such as temples, halls mansions, ponds, bridges, tombs, platforms and towers.

Airports near the Sanqing Mountain include the Quzhou Airport (the closest), tour phượng hoàng cổ trấn the Jingdezhen Airport, the Nanchang Airport, the Wuyishan Airport, the Jiujiang Airport and the Huangshan Airport.

Several cities, including Guangzhou, Shanghai, Nanchang, Changsha and Kunming, operate direct train services to the Shangrao Railway Station. From here tourists can change for the bus to the mountain scenic area. The journey is about 78 kilometers and takes a little over two hours.
Tourists can also get off the train at the Yushan Railway Station to take mini bus outside the railway station or public bus at the Yushan Bus Station to the Sanqing Mountain. The most common way to get around the city itself is by pedicab. Moreover, a cablecar is available to the scenic area.

Catering

The local characteristic dishes of Shangrao include the Steamed Carp, the Pearl-Shaped Peeled Prawns, the Yiyang Sour Chicken, and the Braised Pork Arranged in the Shape of a Turtle.

In addition, the Changbiao Dried Eggplant is a snack unique to Shangrao and is highly recommended.

Shopping

The chicken heart-shaped chestnuts and the Yunwu Tea of Sanqing Mountain are both highly recommended as gifts. The former is famous for its green color, natural fragrance, pure taste and beautiful shape.
Moreover, veined-cloth inkstone is also produced here, but one should select carefully before making a purchase.
